Saw Palmetto Berries:
The berries have been used for centuries to heal. It is only in recent years that the berries have been used for the strengthening of the prostate. This wonderful herb has been found to act as a tonic for the prostate and is a very good herb to use in both tonic and curative formulas for this gland. It has also been found that Saw Palmetto is a beneficial herb for clearing the kidneys.
Cubeb Berries:
The chemical constituents of this herb are approximately: Volatile oil --15%, Resin--3.5%, cubebin--up to 3%, cubebic acid--to 3%. It imparts to urine a peculiar distinctive odor. Common uses include: gonorrhea, urethritis, vesical irritabilty cyctitis, abscess of prostate gland, hemorrhoids, chronic bronchitis and catarrh. Cubebs, when properly understood and correctly used, are one of the best remedies for the above named conditions. It should be noted that Cubebs are best used in combination with Saw Palmetto to support prostate health.
Juniper:
The chemical constituents are: volatile oil--1 to 2%, resin--10%. Therapeutic properties: stimulant, diuretic, anodyne and ammenagogue. This plant has been used with great success since the 13th century.
Marshmallow Root:
This herb is 25% to 35% mucilage, where most of our dietary silicon is found. Silicon is one of the basic cellular building blocks. Silicon is a biological cross-linking agent that contributes to the architecture and resilience of connective tissues. Marshmallow is attributed as one of the major botanicals for the strengthening of the entire urinary tract. It has also been used in formulas for the softening of the entire urinary tract. It has been used in formulas for the softening in the kidney’s. Something that is not commonly recognized about Marshmallow is the pentose found in it which when combined with weak alkaline water, produces petosinic acid which carries a large amount of oxygen--- which accounts for some of the herbs great life-giving and revitalizing properties.
Queen of the Meadow:
This is a tall graceful plant, growing to the height of six to twelve feet. It dissolves calcification and adhesions and internally it is used as a diuretic, tonic, nervine, stimulant and stone solvent. It is also excellent for kidney, bladder and prostate diseases and cystitis.
